Camp Conquest is committed to training and discipling our seasonal staff—equipping them with the skills to lead, serve, and share the love of Jesus with every camper they encounter. These are the counselors, lifeguards, and leaders who make camp come alive, creating safe, fun, and Christ-centered experiences day after day.
Many of these dedicated high school and college students choose camp not because it pays the most—but because they believe in the mission. They willingly sacrifice higher-paying opportunities to invest in something eternal.
From Camperships to Staff Support
For years, generous supporters have faithfully given to our Campership Fund, helping make camp possible for hundreds of campers. Because of that incredible generosity, Camperships are in a strong place—allowing us to provide scholarships for over 200 campers each summer.
Now, we have an opportunity to build something just as impactful.
During Faithful Give, we are shifting our focus toward supporting the very people who make those camper experiences possible: our seasonal staff.
Training Leaders for Impact
We don’t just hire staff—we invest in them.
During training weeks, our team is equipped with practical and spiritual tools to serve campers with excellence. They learn how to:
- Memorize and teach Scripture
- Lead activities like archery and waterfront safely
- Care for homesick campers with compassion
- Serve in everyday tasks—even the unseen ones such as cleaning, kitchen, and trash removal
Most importantly, they are trained to share the gospel and reflect the love of Jesus in everything they do.
This intentional investment doesn’t just impact one summer—it shapes who they become for life.

Camp Conquest has been working to increase summer staff wages over the past few years. While we’ve made progress, we are still not at industry average.
The Staff Development Fund is an endowment designed to change that—providing ongoing support to sustainably increase wages year after year. This allows us to recruit, retain, and invest in high-quality staff who are passionate about ministry.
