Meet The Camp Conquest Staff
Mike Gehlert as Executive Director, has been orchestrating change since April 2002. He along with Yara and their four children enjoy serving together at camp so that the staff and volunteers can reach campers for Jesus Christ.

Ken Keener has served with us as a volunteer since 1981. He joined the full time staff in February 2004. Ken’s role is recruitment of volunteers and coordination of the guest group ministry, yet he does so much more. Ken is the face of Camp Conquest, the person who people remember with fond expression when they leave. He brings spiritual maturity and a heart for people that is appreciated by all the volunteers, campers, guests and other staff. ken@campconquest.org
Deb Newton, self titled Director of Disinfectant, has been doing a fabulous job cleaning our facility since January 2004. Deb is a loyal worker who contributes long hours to both cleaning and grounds work. She is also the genius behind the Oregon Trail which is the highlight of the Pioneer Camp experience.
Denise Weaver has been managing our camp office since May 2006. There is always laughter in the office when Denise is on site. In addition to bookkeeping tasks and registrar work she also enjoys helping in the kitchen.
Doug Tressler takes a lot of grief from a lot of people, and, well, he desires most of it. But Doug loves the Lord and he wants everyone else to do likewise. Since January 2007 he has coordinated the camp maintenance. He does a great job working with our volunteers, and he can often be found praying with and encouraging staff and guests.
Rich Russell has been involved with Camp Conquest for more that 30 years. Rich joined the staff in January 2009 to coordinate all of the program ministries. He brings enthusiasm and consistency to our programs and is currently working on developing our STACC program that focuses on service training for the next generation of Camp Conquest enthusiasts. rich@campconquest.org
Pam Rankin joined the team in May 2009 as our on-site ministry host and summer wrangler. She is a great addition to our part-time staff and is currently working on the paperwork for our ACA accreditation.
